In addition, Richards has hand-written on the fly-leaf ‘Hand-coloured by Frances Richards for Sam and Adrian’, and loosely inserted is an invitation to the private view of her 1980 exhibition at Campbell & Franks gallery in New Cavendish Street, London; an invitation to her memorial service at St Peter’s, Hammersmith, in 1985 and an Order of Service booklet. The original drawings, which is signed and dated 1979, depicts four angels floating in a circular motion around a floral wreath in the shape of a cross. It is a most moving and sensitively conceived picture.
